Nevada's Vorm receives IGCA all-state honors in softball: Cub senior named to 3A second team

Nevada senior third baseman Addi Vorm was named second-team all-state in softball by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association in 2021. Vorm set a Nevada record by hitting .500 for the season.

Nevada senior third baseman Addi Vorm was also recognized by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association as an all-state softball performer in 2021.

Vorm was named to the Class 3A second team by the IGCA. Vorm set a Nevada record by recording an impressive .500 batting average for the season and she finished with eight doubles, two home runs and 19 RBIs.

The 3A first team was made up of: Humboldt's Kendal Clark and Jori Hajek, Saydel's Dakota Lake, Hampton-Dumont-CAL's Avery Hanson, Solon's Sarah Heick and Hillary Wilson, Mount Vernon's Jenna Sprague, Maia Bentley and Nadia Telecky, Davenport Assumption's Anna Wohlers, Olivia Wardlow and Bella Nigey, Williamsburg's Peyton Driscoll, Esthterville-Lincoln Central's Tatum Dunlavy, Atlantic's Olivia Engler, West Lyon's Kennedy Kramer, West Burlington's Lauren Summers, Centerville's Claire Matthews, Albia's Makenna Jones, Knoxville's Ashley Finarty and Davis County's Madeline Barker.

Mount Vernon's Robin Brand was named 3A Coach of the Year.
