Two Royals named all-ISC in volleyball

Two members of the Colo-Nesco volleyball team were given all-conference recognition in the Iowa Star Conference this season.

Junior Kassie Robinson and sophomore Chelsea Henze were both named all-ISC in the South Division. Robinson made the South Division second team and Henze was named all-conference honorable mention.

Robinson totaled 61 digs, 53 kills, 11 blocks and 30 aces on the season at outside hitter. She played in a total of 66 sets.

Joining Robinson on the all-ISC South Division second team were Don Bosco’s Maddy Siems; North Tama’s Alicia Martinez, Sammy Watson and Madison Howard; GMG’s Chandler Kendall and Meskwaki’s Grace Tahahwah. The all-ISC first team was made up of Don Bosco’s Lexi Hogan, Erin McFadden and Hannah Halverson; North Tama’s Marika Kopriva and Abbie Schafer and GMG’s Katie Airey and Josie Claussen.

Henze dished out 161 assists in 66 sets at setter for Colo-Nesco. She also had nine blocks and went 215 of 243 serving with 43 aces.
