The first annual Motorcycle Ride for Central Iowa Emergency Services Chaplaincy (CIESC) will be held Aug. 4, beginning and ending at Zylstra Harley Davidson, 1930 E 13th St., Ames.

The ride will travel through Story and Marshall counties. Refreshments will be served before it starts.

CIESC supports law enforcement, first responders, firefighters and their families, in addition to serving the Central Iowa communities of Story and Marshall counties. This newspaper did a story about the group earlier this year.

Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. The ride is $25 per person (with any additional donations being accepted and appreciated), and all proceeds will support the work of CIESC, a nonprofit organization.
