On Oct. 22, Colo-Nesco took three students to Indianola High School to audition for the Iowa All-State Choir. The three students, Adyson Saunders, Stephanie Norris and Emma Young, had worked on the music since August, preparing for the auditions. Colo-Nesco is in the South Central District, which is a very difficult district, according to vocal instructor Bryan Ward.

Senior Adyson Saunders, alto 1, was selected for the All-State Choir. Ward said, “This is a huge honor for Adyson and Colo-Nesco.” Saunders will be part of a 600-member choir of high school singers from all around the state of Iowa, performing on the weekend of Nov. 18-19. “The Iowa All-State Choir is consistently regarded as one of the best in the nation. Congratulations to Adyson Saunders,” Ward said.

The concert will be on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
