SCCF Welcomes Kurtenbach and Beck

Ann Kurtenbach and Elizabeth “Liz” Beck recently joined the advisory board of Story County Community Foundation (SCCF). Both women have been active members in the Story County community for many years.

Ann holds bachelor’s degrees in industrial administration and accounting from Iowa State University. She is licensed as a CPA in Iowa and is employed by Paragon International in Nevada in the role of comptroller. She lives in Nevada with her husband, Jim, and has two grown sons. Ann is active in the Nevada community and in the Nevada Community School Foundation, Nevada Music Parents, PEO Chapter NE, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 48 and Story County American Legion Auxiliary.

Liz is the development officer for the Ames Public Library Friends Foundation. Formerly, Liz held leadership positions with the Heartland Senior Services of Story County, YWCA Ames-ISU, National Collegiate Honors Council and ISU University Honors Program. Liz has a blended family with the late Al Rutledge, comprised of six adult children. As a volunteer, Liz is currently involved with Special Olympics Iowa and is chair of the Rotary International Global Scholarship Committee. She previously volunteered with ACCESS Shelter, Childcare Resource and Referral, Ames Planning and Zoning and Ames Tribune editorial board.

The Story County Community Foundation facilitates and promotes private giving through the establishment of endowments, acts as a resource for nonprofit endowment building, and awards grants for the betterment of Story County.
