Another 23 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Story County; virus positivity rate at 4.9%

At 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Iowa Department of Public Health was reporting an additional 23 confirmed COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in Story County.

The latest data as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, compared to 10 a.m. Tuesday:

  • Confirmed cases: 10,449, an increase of 23
  • Deaths: 47, no increase
  • Total tested: 161,462
  • Total recovered: 10,015
  • Countywide 14-day positivity rate: 4.9%

All Iowans ages 16 or older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Vaccine doses administered: 70,435
  • Individuals receiving first dose: 14,382
  • Individuals receiving second dose*: 27,715
  • Individuals received single-dose series: 924
