Nevada will be holding an all-welcome event extravaganza on May 21, which will include a bike sale, bike rodeo and animal licensing.

The bike sale will run from 8-9 a.m. It is a first come, first served event with a limited number of buyers permitted in at a time. All bike prices range from $5-20. Bikes also come licensed with the city for free.

The bike rodeo will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be safety demos, helmet giveaways (until gone), an obstacle course, as well as police and fire vehicles. Skunk River Cycles will also be on site from 9-11 a.m. to perform minor bike repairs. If your bike needs more than tire inflation, lubed and tightened chains, seat/handlebar adjustments, and brakes or pedals tightened, please make an appointment with Skunk River Cycles for additional repairs.

Pet licensing is here, and special registration will be from 2-4 p.m. It is now a requirement to license all cats and dogs over the age of 6 months. From now until July 1, all application fees will be waived. Proof of rabies vaccination is required. Please bring any spay/neuter papers and a color photo of your pet. A camera will be available to have photos of your pet taken. For more information on registration and fees, please contact Community Service Officer Kali Warner at 382-4593.
