Justice Corps of Iowa visits Nevada

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, the Justice Corps of Iowa visited the Nevada Community Resource Center (NCRC) to present checks to NCRC and Cubbie’s Cupboard. The Justice Corps of Iowa first visited Nevada on Saturday, Aug. 29, for Lincoln Highway Days. In lieu of payment, the group donates their fees to children’s programs in the communities they appear in.

The Justice Corps of Iowa is made up of 17 superhero members. The group came together on Jan. 27, 2015. Superman and The Flash founded the group. According to Superman, the group’s goal is to bring smiles to everyone’s face and it is great to be able to give back during the holiday season.

Because of the work of Larry and Cindy Sloan bringing the Justice Corps of Iowa to Nevada, both the NCRC and Cubbie’s Cupboard were presented with checks for $200. The Justice Corps announced they are planning to attend Lincoln Highway Days in 2016, and perform downtown and possibly be in the parade!

After visiting the NCRC, the Justice Corps of Iowa made a surprise visit at the Nevada Public Library.
