Art classes offered for kids in Ames

New art classes will be offered for kids and adults this winter through Ames Parks and Recreation! Classes are taught by local artist, Molly Nagel. Molly has a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a master’s degree in integrated visual art. All supplies are provided.

Paper Bowl Jellyfish (ages 7-12) will meet on Monday, Jan. 4, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Cost is $13.50 ($28.50 for non-residents). Kids will create their own custom jellyfish friend using paint, glue, ribbons, yarn and other supplies. Tee/Adult Landscape (ages 13+) will meet on Monday, Jan. 11, from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $29.50 ($44.50 for non-residents). Participants will learn the basics of landscape painting with acrylic paint in this fun beginner class. Each student will take home their very own masterpiece!
