A night of holiday fun planned at Nevada Library

Mark your calendars! A Family Holiday Event will take place at the Nevada Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 6:30—7:30 p.m. The fun will start with an interactive reading of the “Polar Express,” written by ‎Chris Van Allsburg. This is the 30th anniversary of “Polar Express.” Wear your jammies and bring an adult along with you. Be ready to have fun, to dance and sing. The activities are simple, but look great! Little to big kids can make beautiful projects for their family or friends. The best projects are homemade and come from the heart. We will be making candy canes out of puzzle pieces and small Christmas trees out of sticks and material. We will also have a station to make reindeer food for Santa’s reindeer Christmas Eve.

Of course, festive sustenance, in the form of special holiday cookies (procured from the local Holiday Cookie Parade) and milk will also be provided.
