CONRAD - The Colo-NESCO volleyball team saw its season come to a close with a loss to BCLUW in the opening round of Class 1A regional play Oct. 22.
The Royals were swept in finishing the season at 6-16. They struggled the first two sets, losing 25-10 and 25-5, but put up a good fight in the third before falling by a 25-17 margin.
Colo-NESCO had 16 digs and went 29 of 34 serving with two aces. The Royals struggled at the net, picking up nine kills with 14 errors in 42 attacks and going without a single block.
Jenna Hill had three kills and Ayvarie Bappe, Emmy Hostetler and McKenzie Niemeyer two apiece for the Royals. Hill also recorded two digs, Bappe two digs and an ace and Niemeyer two digs.
Megan Carlson finished with eight assists and three digs and Megan Hulshizer six digs. Rylee Purvis chipped in one dig and ace apiece.
