Victoria Cerka, 65, died on Friday, November 23, 2018, at her home in Colo after a long battle with cancer.

Victoria was a mother to more than her children, a sister to more than her siblings, and a friend to all. She created beauty throughout her 40-year career as an interior designer. Her energy was boundless, and she truly left the world a more vibrant and colorful place. Victoria liked tending to her flower garden, enjoyed arts and crafts and scrapbooking.

If you knew her, she undoubtedly found some way to help you. Her drive, determination, optimism, faith and love were contagious; she made the lives of those who knew her much better.

Victoria is survived by her husband, Dave of Colo; her children: Valorie (Ben) Nygaard of Saratoga, CA and Christian (Emily) Krugler of Des Moines; her siblings: Bob (Judy) Hoffman of Des Moines, Tim (Pam) Hoffman of Des Moines, Garland (Joyce) Hoffman of Des Moines, Roberta Fergus (Dennis Wageman) of Bentonville, AR and Ben (Sherry) Hoffman of Bentonville, AR; her grandson, Onan Nygaard; and her step-grandchildren: Payton, Grace and Alexis Cerka and Lakota Gillis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter in infancy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colo United Methodist Church in Colo in memory of Victoria.
