Nevada Public Safety Director Ric Martinez was injured Friday, Feb. 14, when he fell while walking on the ice. He broke his right leg near his ankle. While Martinez recovers, Sergeant Matt Snyder has switched to the day shift to help out. Nevada officers have been driving Martinez back and forth to the office so he can check emails and do some work. Martinez has also been keeping in touch via phone. Snyder said he is expected to be out for about a month, depending on how fast the recovery process goes.
