If you didn’t make it to last week’s Nevada school board meeting, here’s some of what you might have missed:Nevada’s enrollment increased by four students as compared to last year, according to numbers shared by Nevada Superintendent Dr. Steve Gray. Preliminary certified enrollment figures include open enrollments into and out of the district, preschool, and other counts, indicate an increase in 1.75 students.The board approved a Middle School Discovery Ag & FFA program as well as for eighth grade students during the current school year. Students who participate would have 20 hours of contact time, similar to 28 days of a 42-minute class period.Director of Transportation Joel Sampson has also solicited a quote for a used 2016 Blue Bird Vision Propane school bus for $61,000.

The next meeting is schedled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30, at the Nevada district office.
