Next Monday, the 8th, will be our potluck day already. The warmer weather has been bringing more people to the Center, so I’m planning on a big turnout.

John Beals, from the Clock Shop, has agreed to tell about how he became interested in “everything clock”. If you stop by his shop you will see grandfather clocks, mantel clocks, a large assortment of cuckoo clocks and many unusual “one of a kind” clocks all ticking and chiming at once.

We will also hear from Shawn Coogler who owns the Candy Land store. We had to delay his talk when our potluck was snowed out in February.

Wednesday, the 10th at 1 p.m. will be our movie day. As I mentioned before we will be watching “The Basis of Sex.” (Don’t let the title fool you!) This film tells the story of Ruth Bader Ginsberg as a young mother and a struggling attorney who faced numerous discrimination battles throughout her career. She and her husband Marty brought the groundbreaking case before the US Court of Appeals to overturn a century of gender discrimination. The movie was made to coincide with the anniversary of her 25th year on the Supreme Court. I hope to have a large turnout for our movie day again this month.

One more item of interest, J&K Lefsa & More bakery will have their Norwegian baked goods for sale at the Senior Center on April 8 at 1 p.m.
