Just a reminder that next week will be our potluck day. As I told you last week, “The Hymnsingers” will present a Christmas program for us. I hope for good weather so many of you will be able to attend this special program.

We will be having our regular movie day on Wednesday, the 12th starting at 1 p.m. Since many of you may watch modern-day Christmas stories on TV, I have decided to show the 1994 remake of the Christmas classic “Miracle on 34th Street.” It follows the same storyline as the 1947 original of a 6-year-old girl who has doubts about every child’s most enduring miracle — Santa Claus. She discovers that any miracle can come true if you only believe. Please join us to relive one of the classic Christmas stories of our childhood.

Stay tuned for details about our New Year’s Eve party. I can tell you now that it will be from 6 until 9 p.m., so you will not be seeing the new year in at the Center.
