ALMACO, the leader in providing innovative solutions to the seed research industry, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Smith from the position of director of manufacturing to vice president of manufacturing. Smith leads the manufacturing team at ALMACO, ensuring that our custom harvesters, planters and other research equipment products are built with safety, quality and efficiency at the forefront. Recently he has taken on leadership of the Quality department and has taken on a bigger role in the growth of ALMACO’s quality processes.

Smith has been a catalyst in the creation and development of a strong culture of safety at ALMACO and has been invited to speak about ALMACO’s success at numerous conferences throughout the country. ALMACO reached a safety milestone in 2018 as the company reached 1,000,000 hours of work with no injuries requiring time off from work.
