On Their Own and OK program is a program for youth in grades four-six who may begin staying home on their own for a short time, like after school. Through activities and conversation, participants will explore family rules, avoid boredom, safety, emergencies, and make lunch and a snack. The program will run 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with participants sharing what they learned at 3 p,m. The program will be offered six times:
Feb. 9: Dakins Community Center, Zearing
Feb. 16: Bertha Bartlett Public Library Meeting Room, Story City
March 2: Collegiate United Methodist Church, Ames
March 9: Community Center, Cambridge
March 16: Story County ISU Extension & Outreach, Nevada
March 23: Community Center, Collins
