The Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast in Nevada will be the site of a unique holiday event — a Christmas Royal Tea.
The Tea is set for Saturday, Dec. 16, from 2-4 p.m., at the B & B at 1110 Ninth St. Cost to attend is $20 per guest and $10 for children.
Queen Anne B & B owner Barbara Howard said the royal tea will be served in the Queen Anne tradition. “We will serve a savory course, a pastry course and a dessert course,” Howard said. “A small amount of fruit is included. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and juices will be served.”
Also, a special lesson to be incorporated with this tea is learning how to fold napkins in four different ways.
Hosting teas at the local B & B is an idea that came about because Howard enjoys having them. “It’s a fun activity to celebrate the season,” she said. “This is our second annual Christmas Royal Tea.”
The house will be decorated festively with a tree in the parlor alcove and other Christmas decor throughout the rooms.
Howard hopes those attending will come prepared to share their holiday tradition stories with the group. “We can accommodate 16 guests comfortably, and hope to have you come and enjoy this time with us.”
