One person is dead in a fire that caused major damage to a Nevada home early this morning.

Ric Martinez, Director of the Nevada Department of Public Safety, said the fire is being considered suspicious.

According to the Nevada Public Safety Department, authorities were notified at 3:20 a.m. of a house fire at 875 West N Ave. Firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.

Adam William Blazek, 36, was found dead in the home. No one else was home at the time of the incident.

Martinez said Blazek’s body has been taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, which was planned for this morning.

A man walking around the yard of the house said he was family to the man who died in the fire, but declined to give his name or comment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Martinez said more information would likely be released later today.
