GILBERT – The Nevada girls’ track team picked up six medals in five events at the Bengal Relays Monday in Gilbert.

The Cubs won three silver medals and one bronze. They also placed fourth in one event and sixth in another.

The high jump produced two medals for Nevada. Alyssa Boyd cleared four feet, 10 inches to take the silver and Sophia Wilson won the bronze after peaking at 4-8.

Nevada came in second in pair of relays. The team of Kelsey Haley, Caroline Goecke, Lindsey Haley and Alli Fey won the silver medal in both the sprint medley and 4 X 100 events.

The Cub quartet completed the medley in two minutes, 2.60 seconds. They ran the 4 X 100 in :54.62.

Kelsey Haley, Goecke, Taylor Webb and Josie Wierson placed fourth in the 4 X 200. The Cub team finished the race in 2:05.14.

Lindsey Haley added a sixth-place showing in the 100 as she crossed the finish line in :13.55.

Nevada ended up placing seventh as a team in Class A with 33 points. Gilbert won the team title with 178 points and Roland-Story was second with a score of 140.
