Davenport North's Jared Beck fired a no-hitter and the Wildcats swept Burlington High School in a Mississippi Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader at Wayne Duke Field Monday night.

North on 7-0 and 10-7. In the first game, Beck walked four Grayhounds, but struck out 11. The Wildcats' Rudy Juarez homered.

Burlington scored four runs in the seventh inning of the nightcap, but the rally fell short. Mason Leinbach and Drake Parks each had three hits for Burlington. Everett Willson singled and doubled.

Burlington (7-10, 4-4 MAC) plays Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson and Des Moines Lincoln Saturday at Council Bluffs.
