Bryanna Mehaffy went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple to lead 13th-ranked (Class 5A) Burlington High School to a 9-3 victory over Sioux City East in the Grayhounds' third game in the Creston softball tournament Friday.

Earlier, Ankeny topped Burlington, 5-3, but the Grayhounds rebounded to defeat No. 8 (Class 3A) Atlantic, 5-2.

Against Sioux City East, Lydia Allen-Barnee went 3-for-3 and Emily Bloomer homered for Burlington. Makaylin Powers (9-1) took the win in relief.

Bloomer, Kayla Norton and Taylor Johnson each had two hits against Ankeny. Mehaffy went 2-for-3 in the win over Atlantic. Adessa Brandenburg (5-0) pitched the victory.

Burlington (19-2, 7-1 MAC) plays at Davenport West Monday.
