Nevada Orange Crush, the high school clay shooting team, had an outstanding performance at the state championship in Cedar Falls.
Last Wednesday, our Intermediates (junior high) shot two flights of 100 targets. Lucas Fry ended 12th, Wyett Lewis finished 39th and the team was 24th.
On Sunday, our high school team took the fields. The squad was 50th, team 62nd. These placings are for the entire state. We had many firsts in the meet, with Brie Pratt, Wyatt Frerk and Grayson McKinney getting their first 25 straight in competition, and Grayson getting his first-ever 50, along with a 99/100 to finish 52nd out of 800-some shooters. We ended with five shooters in the top 150.
Nevada has another sport to pin the map… and this is only our third year.
