The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers golf teams both traveled for meets yesterday afternoon(May 15). The boys’ traveled to the Bos Laden Golf Course in Pella for a meet against 12 other teams, while the girls’ had a dual at the Creston Crestmoore Golf Course in Creston.


The boys finished in third place at their invitational.


Micah Moyer and Jacob Schumacher led the Tigers. Both shot a 78 on the course. Moyer placed seventh overall and Schumacher finished in eighth.


Adam O’Connor and Grant Curran also tied at the meet. Both Tigers finished with a score of 87 strokes.


Matthew West was next for the Tigers, he finished with 93 strokes. Will Geadelmann was the final Tiger, he had 95 strokes.


“It was a great prep heading into our District Meet this Friday at Atlantic,” said coach Kelly Roder.


The boys will be playing at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club on May 19 for their District Meet. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m.


Girls at Creston


Lindsay Lange and Morgan Wagoner led the Tigers’ girls’ team at the dual. The two finished with 46 strokes each.


Bailey Danner came next for the girls’ team. Danner had 56 strokes on the nine-hole course.


Kaylee Wheeler and Emily Neumann also tied to finish up the girls’ team. The two Tigers both shot a 57 at the meet.


The girls will now be preparing for their Regional Meet next week.


The Tigers will be hosting the Regional Meet at the River Valley Golf Course in Adel on Monday, May 22 at 9:00 a.m.
