To the editor:
Cathy Glasson has courage, intelligence, commitment and indomitable spirit! She is genuine, genial, relatable and has integrity.
Cathy is the Clean-Water-champion in this election. Cherishing our water as a human right, she has a strategy to clean it up, making it safe. Fred Kirschmann, Bill Stowe and Francis Thicke all serve on her advisory committee.
Cathy has eighteen years of governing experience as union president, fighting for workers’ economic security and for stronger economies, which enrich our communities.
She has a solid plan for universal health care/Medicare for All Iowans – not waiting for foot-dragging Washington and lobbyists to address our national and state health care fiasco.
Cathy’s commitment to education is unwavering. She supports increased funding for preschool-12 and for higher ed. In addition, she will work for free tuition for two-year community colleges and restructuring student-loan debt.
Iowans have a lot at stake in this upcoming election: the health of our economic security, our medical care, our small towns, our public educational institutions, our deteriorating infrastructure and facing the challenges of climate change.
We deserve better than what we’ve had. Business-as-usual isn’t working for Iowans. Those massive corporate tax loopholes must be closed. The wealthy and well-connected haven’t been working for OUR well-being. It is time for a Change.
Cathy Glasson is the strongest candidate, the Change we need. She has a career showing she cares for Iowa’s people.
Vote for Cathy Glasson on June 5. Cathy is the governor we will be proud of, and grateful for.
