Margaret Fosseen, age 98, of Radcliffe, IA, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Hubbard Care Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Monday, August 11, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Radcliffe. Burial will be in Radcliffe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Boeke Funeral Home in Radcliffe, IA.

Margaret Fern (Larson) Fosseen was born on October 31, 1915, in Nevada, Iowa. She was the first born to Fred and Emma (Hausken) Larson. After graduating in 1923 from Milford Township School, Margaret worked at the plant in Ankeny that made bullets and packed them for WWII. Later, she was a waitress at an ISU Campustown Café and later worked at Donnelley’s in Nevada.

Margaret married Lloyd Fosseen on December 19, 1944, at the Little Brown Church. They started married life together in the house that Lloyd helped his father build northwest of Radcliffe. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran church in Radcliffe, Ladies Aide, Married Ladies Harmony Club and the Garden Club. Margaret will be missed by her three children: Rita (Bob) Schmidt, Dwayne (Betty) Fosseen and Marcy (Denny) Chaussee; seven grandchildren; along with her great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Emma Larson, her husband Lloyd Fosseen, brother Henry Larson, sister Myrtle Hankins and son-in-law Wayne Ott.
