Halloween is right around the corner. This annual tradition means more than just candy and costumes. It literally means the difference between life and death for millions of children around the world. By trick or treating for UNICEF, the money raised enables UNICEF to get children the health care, clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more that they need to survive and thrive.

Parents of children are invited to join in collecting money for UNICEF with the children of McCallsburg, Zearing and Colo. The goal is for all the people in these towns, plus Country Living Court, to have an opportunity to give to UNICEF. The following times have been set up for collecting (weather permitting):

McCallsburg - Saturday, Oct. 26, 1-4 p.m., meet 15 minutes prior to start at City Hall to pick up boxes and designated walk areas

Country Living Court - Sunday, Oct. 27, 1-1:30 p.m., meet at office parking lot 15 minutes prior to start

Colo - Sunday, Oct. 27, 2-6 p.m., meet 15 minutes prior to start at Community Center to pick up boxes and designated walk areas

Zearing - Monday, Oct. 28, 4-7 p.m., meet 15 minutes prior to start at City Hall

All children age 3 and under must have a parent present. Treats await for those who come!
