Sergeant Steven A. Dalthorp, son of Annette and James Dalthorp of Nevada, has received the Military Intelligence Corps Association Knowlton Award. This award recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to the promotion of Army Military Intelligence in ways that stand out in the eyes of the recipients, their superiors and peers. These individuals must also demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and moral character, display an outstanding degree of professional competence and serve the MI Corps with distinction. Steven, a 2005 Nevada High School graduate, received the award and medal after completing his Army enlistment at Ft. Drum, NY. He is currently a student at Syracuse University.
Kristin Willert, formerly of Nevada, was named to the president’s list at the Mercy College of Health Sciences for the fall 2013 semester. Students so honored maintained a GPA of 3.75 or higher for the semester. Willert is the daughter of Todd and Mercy Willert of Albia.
