The Colo United Methodist Women hosted the 2014 Mother-Daughter Banquet in the church at 6:30 p.m. on March 15. A delicious meal of savory chicken vegetable braid with cheese sauce, fruit salad, green beans and pistachio dessert was served. There were 93 guests and 16 workers.
The theme was Barn Quilt Trails, and tables were decorated with quilt table toppers. Myrna Johnson was the emcee, and Nancy Tucker presented an interesting interactive program on barn quilt trails. The only high school senior present to be honored was Megan Ely of Zearing.
