The Midtown Market will be held on Tuesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nevada City Hall parking lot beginning June 3 through Oct. 7. The Chamber office is accepting applications for vendors with fresh fruits, vegetables, crafts, honey, meat, etc. Everything must be homegrown or homemade to be at the market. Community service groups and organizations are invited to offer a Family Fun Activity during the market for families. The Chamber is also looking for people who would like to perform at the Midtown Market – singers, dancers, musicians – between 5 and 7 p.m. Vendor registration forms are available at the Chamber office at 1015 6th St., in Nevada, the Chamber website (www.nevadaiowa.org) or by calling 382-6538.

The Nevada Community Band will be performing at the Midtown Market at 7 p.m. beginning on June 3. Everyone is encouraged to bring their lawn chair to City Hall and enjoy the wonderful music after visiting the market.

"This is the second year for The Midtown Market and we want it to be bigger and better than last year. We are planning to have live music at each market and more vendors than last year. Plan to make it part of your Tuesday night routine," said Lynn Scarlett, Nevada Chamber Executive Director.
