Your family will love this technologically savvy way of hunting for Easter eggs!

Join Story County Conservation on Saturday, April 19 for a Geocache Egg Hunt at McFarland Park (56461 180th St.) northeast of Ames.

Participants will learn how to use a GPS, and then search the woods for hidden treasures. Collect prizes and candy along the way, as well as several "golden eggs" containing special giveaways. The program will run from 9:30 a.m.-noon, starting at the conservation center. SCC only has 20 GPS units (one per group) to check out, so register early.

Pre-registration and payment of $4 per child (limited to children ages 3–14) for this event is required by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. To register, call 515-232-2516 or email conservation@storycounty.com.
