Iowa Resource for International Service (IRIS) needs a welcoming family to host, Soham, a high school exchange student from India this year through the U.S. State Department’s prestigious Youth Exchange and Study program.

IRIS’s goal is to promote diversity acceptance right here in the Midwest. Opening your home to an exchange student can change your life and have a significant impact in your community.

Soham hopes to become a filmmaker one day so he can share his Indian culture with the world. He’s looking forward to living in the U.S. and learning about life in a world completely different from his own. He is an engaging and talented scholarship-winning student who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity or means to study in America. Share the Iowan culture and help make Soham’s dream a reality!

Soham has already been accepted as a junior at Nevada High School and only needs a host family in order to finalize his placement in Iowa. Help in the Nevada area is needed immediately! If you want to make a difference in a young person’s life and feel called to do so, please let IRIS know.
