The next ASpire meeting will be a "Transition Times Workshop" to be held on Oct. 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Heartland AEA 11 (Ames Office) at 511 S. 17th St., in Ames.

It’s never too early to start planning for your future! Come hear a panel of persons with disabilities who are living, learning and/or working in the community. Hear their success stories and what helped them along the way. Time will be allowed for questions.

This presentation is geared to families and educators of 7-12th grade students on IEPs, students 14 and older, and other professionals of Heartland AEA schools and Des Moines Public Schools.

Please register for this workshop by Sept. 27. To register, please contact Jamie Gurganus at: jgurganus@heartlandaea.org and leave a message with the following information: Name, phone number, your school district, and the number attending. If accommodations are needed, please let us know that also. There is no charge for the workshop.
