Nevada’s Veterans Day program will be held at the Josephine Tope Auditorium at 8:20 a.m. next Thursday (Nov. 8).


Veterans, their families and the public are invited to join Nevada High School students in this celebration of Veterans Day. The program, coordinated by Christine Lloyd, a retired teacher from Nevada High School, will include audiovisuals, music and the presentation of two Quilts of Valor to Vietnam veterans. The program will be emceed and presented by Boys State and Girls State Seniors.


This annual program allows the community to recognize many of the veterans who have done so much to protect our freedoms. All persons attending are asked to be in their seats by 8 a.m., prior to the students’ arrival.


After the program, the veterans and their families are invited to the American Legion for coffee and refreshments.
