Alexis Houseman of Nevada was honored with an award at the Entrepreneurship Showcase hosted by the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences. Houseman, a junior in event management at Iowa State, was recognized with honorable mention in the Innovation Challenge category for her “Getaway the Right Way” business proposal.


Brittnee Packer of Zearing participated in Simpson College’s Research and Creativity Symposium on April 19. The annual Simpson College Research and Creativity Symposium is a multi-disciplinary event that showcases outstanding student work through the presentation of papers, performances, posters and panel discussions. Brittnee’s parents are Dale and Kem Packer.


The honor roll lists for Graceland University’s 2018 spring term have been announced, and Taylor Hill of Zearing has been named to the honors list. Graceland University students with a GPA between 3.65 and 3.99 are named to this list.
