WHO: Iowa Lottery officials and Casey’s personnel will hold a news conference Friday in Nevada to call attention to a $1 million Powerball® prize that remains unclaimed nearly a month after it was won.


WHAT: Iowa Lottery officials will issue a reminder about the unclaimed prize, put up a sign about it in the store, and encourage lottery players to double-check their tickets.


WHEN/WHERE: The news conference will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (May 11) at Casey’s General Store, 1800 S. B Ave. in Nevada, where the $1 million-winning ticket was purchased.


WHY: Someone who bought a ticket in Nevada won a $1 million Powerball prize in the drawing on Wednesday, April 11, and the prize remains unclaimed nearly a month later.
