Story County Genealogy Society meeting
The speaker at the March 12 meeting of Story County Genealogy will be SCGS member Mary Lohr. Mary will be speaking on “Keeping Genealogy Affordable.” You don’t need to spend a small fortune researching your ancestry (although you can if you want to!). Mary Lohr will share some methods and ideas for keeping genealogy affordable and stretching your genealogy budget. Mary is a long-time genealogist, has held many offices in the Story County Genealogical Society and has taught many courses in genealogy.
The Story County Genealogical Society program “Keeping Genealogy Affordable” is at 6:30 p.m. at the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave., and is free and open to the public. The Society’s website is at www.storygenes.com.
