Elvis is back!

Joseph Hall is coming back to The Talent Factory on Jan. 6, 7 p.m., to celebrate Elvis’ birthday with a WHOLE NEW SHOW! Hall’s tribute show will take you on a journey of Elvis hits from rock-n-roll to country, pop, rhythm and blues, and Gospel. Hall’s goal is to capture the essence of Elvis Presley, to pay tribute to him with the utmost respect to his legacy, his music, his image and above all else, his fans. Flag Replacement Fund meeting

A meeting about Nevada’s Flag Replacement Fund will be held Monday, Jan. 8, starting at 7 p.m. at the American Legion in Nevada. The meeting is open to the public.

Story County Genealogy Society meeting

The Story County Genealogy Society will hold its first meeting of 2018 on Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ames Public Library. Members of the Society will be on hand to assist people with their genealogy research. Come share your interest in genealogy. Feel free to bring a pedigree chart and/or surnames who are the focus of your family history to share, and bring a friend. Meetings are free and open to the public.
