There was a nice turnout for the recent Eugene Voga Memorial Ride in Zearing on July 9.

“We really want to thank the Eugene Voga family for letting us honor their dad/grandpa, as well as joining us at the event. We also want to thank the Central Iowa HOG Chapter and the Legion riders for helping make many people happy and creating memories for residents and families at Zearing Health Care Center,” organizers said.

Residents of the Zearing Health Care Center enjoyed the rides they were given. Rick Good and Jennifer Thomason are owed many thanks for their support and donations to the event. From Bambi Cerka, of Zearing Health Care Center, “I personally need to thank Brad Sammon, Lindsey Dietz and Sara Ingle for putting all hands on deck that day. I appreciate their help so much. The staff at Zearing Health Care Center is wonderful and do what they can to help make the residents happy. Ed Perry did a wonderful job with the ice cream and it was loved by all. Last, but not least, we loved having the Back Porch Pickers play for us. Many of the residents were able to sing and clap along. We even got some up dancing.” Photos Contributed
