The 6th District American Legion Conference was held in Maxwell on April 8. The American Legion Auxiliary Nevada Unit #48 received an award for having attained 100 percent membership this year. The Nevada Unit was also recognized by the Quilts of Valor National Chairman Ann Rehbein for sewing many Quilts of Valor.
At the meeting, members learned valuable information from all the reports that were given on all the auxiliary’s programs — Auxiliary Emergency Fund, Children and Youth, Community Service, Education, Girls State, Governing Documents, Junior Activities, Leadership, Legislative, National Security, Membership, Past Presidents Parley, Poppy, Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation and Service to Veterans.
