Fall is here and more activities are resuming at the Center. Tomorrow, Sept. 27, we will be starting our Bridge and 500 card tournament again. (We would like to include Euchre so if you could bring enough for one table that would be great.) We start playing shortly after 1 p.m. and are usually finished by about 3:30. I hope you will encourage any of your card playing friends to come and join us.
We certainly did kick off the fall season last Monday with our Tea and Scones event. The tables were set with vintage table clothes and every color and style of glass stack trays you can imagine. Barb Kenney, our committee chairman, brought flower bouquets for every table and window sill which added just the finishing touch we needed. If you had to miss this Tea, because of a previous commitment, watch for the announcement next fall when we will be hosting our next Tea/Brunch event, similar to the one we had in April.
Our October bingo day will be next week, Oct. 3, starting at 2 p.m. We always have a fun time with lots of unusual prizes for our winners. Last month everyone took home a small Mum plant.
I hope you are out enjoying the beautiful weather we have had these past couple weeks.
