Digital Photography Class

Heartland Senior Services will offer a four-session Digital Photography Class on May 7, 9, 14 and 16 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Green Hills Retirement Community, 2200 Hamilton Dr. in Ames. The class, instructed by volunteer Herb Harmison, will discuss moving photos from a digital camera to computer, as well as organizing, editing, attaching and saving photos. Personal laptops are welcome and all participants must bring their digital cameras. The cost of the course is $20 with a class size limited to six. Disaster Preparedness and Relief

Join us for lunch and learns about Disaster, prepare and relief strategies in Story County, presented by skilled volunteers from R.S.V.P. Times and locations are May 6 at Nevada Senior Center at 12 p.m., May 7 at Colo Community Center at 11:45 a.m., May 14 at Huxley Shelter House at 11:30 a.m., and May 16 in Story City. Build-A-Teddy Bear

Heartland Senior Services, 205 S. Walnut Ave. Ames will have a Build-A-Teddy Bear Workshop on Tuesdays, May 13, 20 and June 3 from 1-3 p.m. Jeanine Strodtman will instruct how to assemble a Bear with sewing done by hand! ‘500’ Cards
