If the weather continues to co-operate I hope to see many of you at our potluck next Monday. As I mentioned in my article last week, Aaron Page will be singing some traditional Christmas music for us.
Wednesday, the 13th at 1:00, is our regular movie day. I have chosen the faith based movie “All Saints” to show this month. It was recently showing in theaters and comes out on DVD on Tues. This true story takes place in Smyrna, TN, a town near Nashville.
A recently ordained priest named Michael Spulock decides to trade in his corporate sales career to become a pastor. Unfortunately, his first assignment is to close a country church and sell the prime piece of land where it sits. He soon has a change of heart when the church starts to welcome refugees from Burma. Spurlock now finds himself working with the refugees to turn the land into a working farm to pay the church’s bills. The events in this story actually took place in 2013 and when I looked it up online it said that the church membership continues to grow.
We will continue to have congregate meals delivered to the Center through Dec. 22nd and then take a break until after the new year. Please call the Center 382-1380 to reserve a meal.
