Since next Monday is our regular potluck day, I will give you a heads up about the program. Tammy McDaniel Bridgeman, who was originally from Nevada, will be our guest speaker to talk a little bit about continuum of care. She will discuss what resources are available, how they are funded and how to prepare for future care. Since September celebrates Senior Centers and Assisted Living, Mindy Rolph and Lou Ann Williams, from Indian Creek and Rolling Green, will also be on hand to update us on their services. They informed me that they will be bringing enough chicken to serve our entire group. So ladies, you may want to brush up on your salads, vegetables and desserts for your contribution to the potluck.

For those of you who have been playing Canasta, or who would like to relearn, plan to be at the Center at 1 p.m. on Thursday the 14th and we’ll play a game. It is a little more detailed than Hand and Foot, but we are all learning together.

I think we will also try to restart our 500 card tournament on the 29th, so please get that on your calendar.
