Fifty people enjoyed visiting and socializing with friends at our potluck on Monday. We were entertained by the delightful singing and humor of the Whimsical Warblers women’s sextet. Since Mother’s Day week is a very busy time for this group, we certainly appreciated the time they took to bring us such a joyful springtime program.
Our Wednesday morning women’s coffee group will have a guest speaker next week on the 17th starting at 9. Nick Nerness, from Youth and Shelter in Ames, will be talking to our group about the Opioid epidemic. You do not have to be a regular at women’s coffee time to attend, so please feel free to come to the Center by 9:00 to learn more about this latest crisis with “over the counter” drugs. In the afternoon on that same day will be our regularly scheduled day to play Hand and Foot cards.
We are planning to have the Center closed for regular activities on Friday the 26th and Monday the 29th for the Memorial Day weekend.
